Well, after a long day (really 2…) of working on business cards, I had some time to play with my camera. One would think that making business cards would be easy….and most of it was, but there were some very interesting and unexpected glitches. But, I can happily say that my husband Josh and I now have business cards on the way!

These past few weeks have been extremely brutal- the dog days of summer, so what would be a better photography subject than dogs?!? (And it just so happens that we needed to help a friend/neighbor care for their dogs while they were out of town) I will say that today I discovered that I am not a pet photographer!

So, with that said, meet Zoey, Ebby, and of course the best dog ever, Chester! (Chester is Josh and my dog)

Meet Ebby, a spunky and slightly yappy, but super cute dog.

I am not sure how Ebby can see. It was extremely hard to catch her eyes!

Now meet Zoey, a very energetic, strong, gorgeous dog. Zoey was as tall as me when she stood!

Welcome to my Blog! This is my first official post. It has been an exciting summer, and I am thrilled to have my website up and running! With the summer coming to an end, I am also aware that my summer of photography bliss will soon be coming to a temporary end. It is time to go back to school and I have Pre-K children that I am called to go love and teach. The end is only temporary because my hope is that in the next few years, the photography will be my full time job and my husband and I will have our own children to love and teach! God has been good, and He has encouraged me with this verse today:

Exodus 31:2-5
…and I have filled him with the spirit of God with skills, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-to make artistic designs…..and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.

It is so fun to think that God has put the desire and ability of photography on my heart! It is ok that I am giddy like a kid when I take photos because God has blessed and appointed this desire!

I have gotten 2 new lenses this past week, and am excited to experiment with them this weekend… Hopefully I will have some great pics to post from my upcoming exploration!
