Father’s Day

June 18, 2008
Two posts in one day! I couldn’t sleep because I feel like I have so much to do, so I thought, I might as well make some use of my time and share some of my favorite people with you.
This past weekend Josh and I went away to visit both of our families for Father’s Day. His family is in Cranberry, Pa, and my family is in McKean, Pa.
Here’s to a wonderful summer dessert: Ice Cream Cake! YUM!

This is my brother in law, Philip, with one of his many……just keep scrolling!

See! I promised that there are more! These are all of my sister Jill’s children except for her daughter Skylar, who lives in Texas with her dad. I am super excited to see Skylar this July!! As you can see my sister and hubby have their hands full!

Here is little Brennan.

And Ethan, the big brother.

Not only does my sister have a lot of children, but her dog also had puppies!

The puppy kept trying to hide in any kind of shade she could get as you can see.

Don’t forget our dog, old man Chester. 14 yrs old.

Ethan is a ball full of energy… basketball, tennis, football….I am tired just thinking about it!

Here is Hayden. He is hysterical. He wore those sunglasses most of the day, but always looked underneath them…  :)

And, baby Ryan. Look at those eyes!

Grandma and Baby Ryan.

And there is the ball full of energy, Ethan. My hubby was teaching him about football in the backyard. They were running plays and everything! It was Penn State (Ethan) Yay!!! versus, Georgia Tech (hubby) Boo! Sorry Josh, I have to root for PSU! Ethan said Penn State won. Let’s Go State!

My other sister and her kiddos were being camera shy. But, it is my goal to get some nice shots of them on my next visit home!

Erin + Charles

June 18, 2008
Here is another e-session for you! Erin and Chuck are getting married this August. photographed their engagement session in Annapolis, MD. I was super excited to photograph them because I had not yet met them. I felt like I should carry a sign that said Erin and Charles, like I was meeting someone in an airport. The good thing is that I am easy to spot because I have a huge camera in my hand and my shootsac (holds my lenses) over my shoulder. It was another one of those SUPER hot days, around 100 degrees! So enjoy!

This just happens to be the restaurant where they had their first date! :)

Aren’t they cute? They had such cute interactions! Erin laughed for 75% of the time (which is good).

Just trying to be a little bit artistic and have some fun with the shadows and the sunshine.

See! She just kept laughing!

And it was so hot that we had to get some ice cream and water at Ben and Jerry’s.

We stepped in a cute store to get some AC, and couldn’t resist!

Real lens flare rainbow below!! Fun!

Meghan + Stephen

June 16, 2008
You might remember Meghan and Stephen from their engagement session back in the winter. Last weekend was their wedding at Loyola Blakefield. Their reception was at the Valley Country Club.  We still have a Trash the Dress Session to do, so stay on the look out for even more photos of Meg and Steve!

For some reason I just like this photo of her dress through her veil.

This is a necklace and card from Steve for Meg on their wedding day.

And check out the mother of the bride’s shoes!!! LOVE them!

Meg surprised Steve with a guitar for his wedding gift. Here is the rockstar in action!

Here is the adorable flower girl, Gracie.

Isn’t she cute?!

Here is a photo of Steve, as Meghan is coming down the aisle.

To the bridal party: You guys were awesome! It was over 100 degrees and everybody was HOT! I can’t even imagine how hot it was in those tuxes!!! Thanks for hanging in there to get a few shots for Meg and Steve!

Retouching makeup for the reception.

This was certainly the funniest mother-son dance I have ever watched!

You know you make me want to shout…..a little bit softer now…

Meet Katy. I will give you a better photo soon. Katy is interested in photography and has a wonderful eye!!! She came along as a second shooter. Brides you may see her at your wedding! Unfortunately, her battery died in her car and someone at the wedding had to jump her car. Not good, but she got home safely.

Neil + Cassen

June 13, 2008
Last weekend I shot 2 e-sessions and a wedding. Since Meg and Steve are still on their honeymoon, I thought that I would show a preview of Neil and Cassen first. They are getting married in Phoenix, MD, on Cassen’s uncle’s property. It is gorgeous! A photographers dream come true. I can not wait until the wedding to go back and shoot there!!! And, Neil and Cassen are super sweet! They live in CT and had traveled down to plant a field of wildflowers that will be the backdrop of their outdoor wedding this fall.  Enjoy!

There were so many fun locations on the property. We could have shot all day…. BUT, it was close to, if not, 100 degrees. Definitely the hottest day of the year yet! They were troopers though. Below they are on a tree swing. Cassen used to play there when she was a little girl. It is such a sweet location for their wedding because it has so much sentimental value.

Love, love the lighting!

The barn was my favorite. I can not wait to come back here at the actual wedding! We also will be doing a Trash the Dress session, so there are a lot more cool pics of Neil and Cassen to come!

Here are Neil and Cassen on the “king” and “queen” chairs from when she was little. The lighting isn’t the best, but still a cute pic.

Here are a few pics of the area where they planted the wildflowers. It was so nice to be in the country. I am from a small town and sometimes miss the quietness and the beauty of the countryside.

This is the field where they planted flowers.

Thanks Neil and Cassen! I can’t wait until the wedding!

Heather + Sam

June 9, 2008
Last weekend, I went with Heather and Sam to Columbia, Md to shoot their e-session. We had PERFECT weather! Heather and Sam just moved to Annapolis, and will be getting married this coming August. I am really excited for the wedding. The details sound super cute!
We went to the lake in Columbia where they had their first date.

Ahhh… and the fountain. We think that some kids put laundry detergent or something similar in the water, because it was full of bubbles!

Arent’ they sweet? They just laughed and enjoyed one another. It was like I wasn’t even there… which is perfect!

Who could resist the bubbles?!?!

Keep checking the blog for more!
