Charm City Kettlebells

Below you will find photographs of Sandy, owner of Charm City Kettlebells. For my faithful blog readers, yes, it is the crazy workout method that my husband and I do. Josh and I met at our gym and soon left the gym after discovering how amazing kettlebells really are. They are certainly not for the faint of heart. If you want to do kettlebells you have to be mentally tough and ready for a hard workout, but the results are amazing! As Sandy gets his business up and running, I will send some links to what he is up to. He currently teaches kettlebells at a couple of gyms/yoga studios, and will be having a few clinics. Let me know if you are interested! It would be a perfect bridal bootcamp for those brides looking for nice arms, shoulders, and backs on their wedding day! This is what a kettlebell looks like. Kind of like a cannon ball with a handle… They start around 14lbs and go up to 106lbs each.

Check out those shoes! They are definitely on my list of things to get!! Both Sandy and my husband LOVE them!

The exercise that Sandy is doing in the photos below is called a swing. We took photos of other movements as well, but the swing is one of the most basic (but killer!) movements that you will do with a kettlebell. Kettlebells are a super cardio+weight lifting workout in one! Check out this kettlebell gym in Atlanta, owned by one of my husbands friends from college.

We all scream for Ice Cream!

So today my friend Meg is coming to hang out. She recently moved a little over an hour away and so now when we plan to hang out, we plan a day of fun! So, I just wanted to do a quick post before our fun afternoon.

These are a few fun pics of my adorable nieces and nephews from my trip to Erie in the middle of July. After we took the beach pics (I will blog favorites soon!) we went to Sara’s, an AMAZING ice cream joint on the beach. They have vanilla and orange sherbet twists like a creamsicle.

Here is my niece Haley, and one of my best friends, Sara! Haley doesn’t love getting her picture taken…. Next week Haley and my mom are coming down and we will be going to the Jonas Brothers Concert! Yep… that is right! I am going to go to the concert with all of the little teeny boppers!

Dream Come True!!!

Like my new background? You will see a lot of fun changes in the next week or so on my blog!!! So exciting here! I am finally back in town (almost for good…) and am catching up on all that I had left behind for the month. It has been a week of random and annoying technical difficulties… BUT….. I am going to the Love Affair Workshop! For those of you who know me, you know how badly I have been dying to go to this workshop. Today registration opened at 10 am. There were 40 slots and over 700 women on the list who wanted to go. Last time they offered the workshop it sold out in 3 minutes! So, at 9:50 this morning, I sat by my computer praying, sweating, refreshing the registration page…. My heart was pounding, my hands were shaking (it’s true folks!)… and finally the registration page opened… I typed as fast as I could, which was terribly hard because my hands and arms felt like jello. I hit submit, and my heart wouldn’t stop pounding, nor my hands stop shaking. And after an entire afternoon of waiting (after 6 months of waiting for registration to open) I got an e-mail that said:

YOU’RE IN!

I am so excited. Praise God. He is so good. This workshop is going to rock my world. And especially for the brides who have booked me for after I go to the workshop, I will be coming to you with fresh amazing ideas!!! San Diego here I come! So here are the details:
