The Davin Family-Outer Banks

Welcome to the Outer Banks! A few gals of the Davin family greet you below!  :)

Last week, I had the opportunity to head to the Outer Banks because my friend Meg and her family hired me to take beach portraits of her family. They were all getting together for the first time in many years and wanted to document the special occasion. I had such a nice time getting to know them all!!  Get ready to meet the family! 

Here is Meg’s husband, Steve, firing up the grill to serve the family lunch as they arrived.

Mary + Kevin

I can’t believe that Mary and Kevin’s day has already passed! They got married this past Saturday, July 19, 2008 in Bethel, CT. Mary used to be my roommate in Baltimore….we had a blast and I miss her dearly, but am so happy for her and Kevin! They actually went to high school together, but did not date until after college. When we were roomies, she was taking a trip to CT, and I remember her stressing about whether or not she should call him to go to dinner (his mom had mentioned that Kevin would love to see her…), but she called and the rest was history. They are such a cute couple together! I am so happy for them, and was delighted to be a part of their day (as a bridesmaid). Of course I still had to take some pics….

Kevin had his brother deliver a gift to Mary while we were all getting our makeup done…  a dozen roses, a coach bag, a pink camera, and a frame that said “today I marry my best friend.”

Welcome to the world Jackson Robert!

Last Tuesday, July 8th, Jackson Robert was born at 2:40 weighing 8 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 21 inches. Here are a few photos that I snapped at the hospital while visiting Meg and Rob!

…And finally, Jackson!!! Isn’t he adorable?!? Meg and Rob kept the sex of their baby a surprise…so there was so much anticipation for this little blessing.

Here they are!!!! I have finished editing Sommer’s Maternity session and here are some of my favorites! We did an early morning session at her house last week, but unfortunately her husband Bryan was not able to make the session because of a work meeting.  :(
This is just a quick post before I drive back to Maryland this morning!!

A Small Preview!!!

What a busy time!!! I am way way behind with blogging, but promise to catch up and post things as I can. In fact, I am resisting the amazing Outer Banks Beach right now to edit some photos….. I have been on the road for the past several weeks, and will continue to travel throughout the rest of the month. I should be able to post a little bit more consistently for the rest of the month though, because although busy, it will be a little less crazy. Below are a few pics to give you a preview of what is to come…..

Below are my nieces and nephews. When I went to Erie, my mom wanted me to take some photos of her grandchildren at the beach.

Below is my best friend since Kindergarten, Steph. She recently moved out to Chicago and so I went to visit her for the 4th of July. We spent a day in the city sightseeing. It is a gorgeous city. I am so happy for her!
Here is the giant bean….It has a real name, but I forget!  See us in the picture?

We had a great time at fireworks…. played cards while we waited for it to get dark, and we made s’mores using the flame from a candle…

Here is Sommer. She is a friend from my hometown who is having a baby! Isn’t she a gorgeous mom-to-be?!  She is due in mid August, so hopefully I will be back in town around the time she has her baby to share her precious little girl with you.


More to come soon….. I am almost done editing Sommer’s session, so I will post those shortly, and then I also have photos to share of another friends newborn baby!
