Jonathan + Bethany

September 27, 2008
Bethany and  Jonathan are hitched! 2 weeks ago, I ventured over to Kent Island to document their beautiful day. They had AMAZING weather! I just love working with such sweet people! Bethany and Jonathan are the nicest couple, and their families were wonderful to work with. I started at Bethany’s house for getting ready photos. Below is her dress hanging in her bedroom. There is something so sweet about a bride getting ready at her house, in her room where she grew up. Maybe it is because as little girls we dream of being princesses… and to actually become a princess for a day where all of those dreams started……Hmmm…. I love my job!
Anyways… back to the wedding!

Love her flowers. I might be biased because I love pink, but aren’t they great?!

Leaving the house to get to the church!

The kiddos taking a look at the guests arriving.

Jonathan and his brother….

Jonathan and his dad. It’s not too often that I get to catch a moment like this between father and son. Precious.

Love how the sun streaks across this photo.

I caught the bridal party and friends decorating the car for the getaway!  :)

Bethany’s mom made these cupcakes. They smelled soooo good!

The DJ had Bethany and Jonathan call their single friends out for the bouquet and garter toss.  :)

Watch out Bethany! You can’t leave your new hubby unattended… The ladies are after him!

This was funny. I had never seen this before. The family was guarding Bethany. You can see her peaking over the top…. Jonathan had to break through the family to get to her. And let me just say… it wasn’t easy!

Jonathan found that the only way through was under!  Nice work!

Jonathan’s brother = hysterical!  This was a moment that I wished I was a videographer… My photo just doesn’t do it justice.

This guy was getting tips! Check out the money hanging from his pants!

A little air guitar….

And nothing like sharing a refreshing “glass” of cold beer (father and son).

Thanks Bethany and Jonathan!!! Congratulations!

Nicole + Chris

September 24, 2008
On Sunday, I met Nicole and Chris in Fells Point to do their engagement session. I was super excited when they pulled up on their motorcycle. Love their style, and am excited for their November wedding!

This is my favorite pic of the day. They were definitely troopers!! We found a really cool spot that was not supposed to be accessed, but we were all able to squeeze through the fence.  :)  We got some cool shots and a lot of bug bites!

We were on the wrong side of town to get a good sunset, so we had to get what we could!

Thanks guys!! Had a great time!

Brian + Lori

September 22, 2008
Yesterday I went to Federal Hill/Harborview Marina area to meet Lori and Brian. They just got engaged in August and are actually getting married this coming Thursday! I am amazed at how fast they have planned their wedding, and it seems as though they have not forgotten a single detail! I can’t wait to shoot their wedding. The photo below is on Brian’s boat, where they will be living, yes living, after the wedding. Isn’t that fun?!?! When I got there yesterday, it was kind of different…. to call and say, “I’m here, outside your boat.”

Lori loves the Domino Sugar sign… so we got it in a few of the photos…

They have the sweetest, dog named, Buddy. He sat right on Lori.  :)

This is the boat that they got engaged on!

I have to give Brian a lot of credit. We started shooting just after 1 and he was going to the Raven’s game that afternoon. We were crunched for time, but we got some cute ones, and will be heading out for a Trash the Dress session. I am super excited about that location!

I think that this pic might be my favorite! They said they wouldn’t classify their relationship as “sweet.”  I beg to differ!!!  :)

I have a few other sessions to post in the next few days… engagement sessions and a wedding!

Christina + Anthony

September 19, 2008
Christina and Anthony are married! They got married last weekend at St. Mary’s Church in Annapolis. Amazing church!!! Here are a few of Josh’s shots… love the angle of this…

This is also Josh’s perspective. Very cool. Love the framing of the image and the focus on the guests hands while they pray for Christina and Anthony.

They really had PERFECT weather!!

Aren’t these cute luggage tags? These were a gift  from Christina’s sister, Monica.

Some of the neighbors came by to see the beautiful bride. Look at the reactions towards the stunning bride!

And the men….

One of my favorite shots of the day. It looks like a fairytale…

This is Lindsey from Union 3 Events. Super cute, stylish, fun wedding coordinators/planners. Christina and Anthony had a polaroid photo guest book, and Lindsey turned into an event photographer!

Christina’s father gave a toast… Hysterical!

A few shots near the end of the evening…

Exciting Things!

September 16, 2008
So, some exciting things…. but I will start with a photo!

1.  Tracey at the Baltimore Cupcake Company  used a couple of my photos to make her promotional post card, because she opened a signature cupcake shop at the Get Hitched Bridal Salon  down in Georgetown. And if you still have not tried her cupcakes after all of my talk of delicious cupcakes…. you NEED to get there and try  them.

2. I got word from  the Knot that one of the weddings I shot will be featured in the Real Weddings section for the local MD, VA, and DC issue. The publication will hit the stands in January as the Spring/Summer 2009 edition! Jennifer and Matt will be featured. Great planning Jennifer! And, for the rest of my brides, I am now motivated to enter more weddings to be considered… This was actually the only wedding that I have even submitted and it was picked! Get working on your amazing details ladies and we will enter you! God is good!!! I feel so blessed to have the entry picked.

3. Some of you might know that my sister in law, Allison, is a makeup artist and has been doing makeup in Manhattan for the past 5 years. She has done makeup at the MTV music awards as well as many other things…. So she just recently had the opportunity to do a makeover for the Rachel Ray show!!! If you want to see the clip, click here.  She is the pretty gal wearing yellow at the hair salon. Allison is amazing at what she does! Truly! And for all of my brides who think they should pass on the makeup, I would say that it truly makes a difference in your photos.  Allison is not only amazing at what she does, but she has an awesome heart, and she moved (just 1 day ago) to Redding California… gave up her SUCCESSFUL career as a makeup artist in Manhattan to go to a ministry school to learn about the Lord!

4. Today I got together with Katie and Melissa of TuVida a cute boutique in Federal Hill. They make jewelry for brides, bridal parties, everyday wear, etc., as well as do custom invitations, menu cards, etc, for weddings. If you have not been there, you NEED to! You will love it. They are expanding their line and have a lot of exciting things in store. We have some fun collaborations that we are hoping to get together before the holidays… Think Holiday Cards…. so expect to hear about this soon!!!

5. Last, but not least, I just wanted to share that my hubby and I will be heading to Hawaii from May 3-17, 2009.   I am looking to shoot a wedding while I am there, and am trying to tap my resources, but if you happen to have any connections with a future Hawaii bride, please send her my way!!! I have an awesome promotion for it!

And just because we are going to Hawaii… and I left you with so much to read, here are a few images from our honeymoon there….  ahhh…. breathtaking…. Enjoy! And if you haven’t gone there… you NEED to go there as well. After reading my post you have a lot of new places to visit.

oh… and I am “this” close to LLC…. yay!  Just a few days to process the paperwork, and it is official!

Ok…. now Hawaii…..  oooohhhh……aaaahhhh…..
This was the sunset from the Princeville Resort. Amazing.

The Na Pali coast from a helicopter tour… by the way….none of these images are worked over in Photoshop… True colors of the sunset as well as the Na Pali coast. Unbelievable.

I might just have to go back and share some more of the Hawaii photos…. there are so many!!
