Exciting Things!
September 16, 2008So, some exciting things…. but I will start with a photo!
1.  Tracey at the Baltimore Cupcake Company  used a couple of my photos to make her promotional post card, because she opened a signature cupcake shop at the Get Hitched Bridal Salon  down in Georgetown. And if you still have not tried her cupcakes after all of my talk of delicious cupcakes…. you NEED to get there and try  them.ÂÂ
2. I got word from  the Knot that one of the weddings I shot will be featured in the Real Weddings section for the local MD, VA, and DC issue. The publication will hit the stands in January as the Spring/Summer 2009 edition! Jennifer and Matt will be featured. Great planning Jennifer! And, for the rest of my brides, I am now motivated to enter more weddings to be considered… This was actually the only wedding that I have even submitted and it was picked! Get working on your amazing details ladies and we will enter you! God is good!!! I feel so blessed to have the entry picked.ÂÂ
3. Some of you might know that my sister in law, Allison, is a makeup artist and has been doing makeup in Manhattan for the past 5 years. She has done makeup at the MTV music awards as well as many other things…. So she just recently had the opportunity to do a makeover for the Rachel Ray show!!! If you want to see the clip, click here.  She is the pretty gal wearing yellow at the hair salon. Allison is amazing at what she does! Truly! And for all of my brides who think they should pass on the makeup, I would say that it truly makes a difference in your photos.  Allison is not only amazing at what she does, but she has an awesome heart, and she moved (just 1 day ago) to Redding California… gave up her SUCCESSFUL career as a makeup artist in Manhattan to go to a ministry school to learn about the Lord!ÂÂ
4. Today I got together with Katie and Melissa of TuVida a cute boutique in Federal Hill. They make jewelry for brides, bridal parties, everyday wear, etc., as well as do custom invitations, menu cards, etc, for weddings. If you have not been there, you NEED to! You will love it. They are expanding their line and have a lot of exciting things in store. We have some fun collaborations that we are hoping to get together before the holidays… Think Holiday Cards…. so expect to hear about this soon!!!ÂÂ
5. Last, but not least, I just wanted to share that my hubby and I will be heading to Hawaii from May 3-17, 2009.  I am looking to shoot a wedding while I am there, and am trying to tap my resources, but if you happen to have any connections with a future Hawaii bride, please send her my way!!! I have an awesome promotion for it!
And just because we are going to Hawaii… and I left you with so much to read, here are a few images from our honeymoon there….  ahhh…. breathtaking…. Enjoy! And if you haven’t gone there… you NEED to go there as well. After reading my post you have a lot of new places to visit.ÂÂ
oh… and I am “this” close to LLC…. yay!  Just a few days to process the paperwork, and it is official!
Ok…. now Hawaii…..  oooohhhh……aaaahhhh…..
The Na Pali coast from a helicopter tour… by the way….none of these images are worked over in Photoshop… True colors of the sunset as well as the Na Pali coast. Unbelievable.

I might just have to go back and share some more of the Hawaii photos…. there are so many!!
