Holly + Kyle | Married

June 16, 2010

Holly and Kyle are married! They had a beautiful celebration at the Hillendale Country Club up in Phoenix, MD. Holly and Kyle met at the University of Nebraska, who by the way will be joining the Big Ten… (So Holly and Kyle, we’ll see you on the field….Go Penn State!)

Kyle is from Nebraska, and Holly was raised in the area, but after the honeymoon, Holly is heading to Nebraska where they will be making their new home as a married couple. :)

It was such a pleasure to work with them and their families… super sweet, sincere people, and it looks like they had a GREAT time!

You can view a slideshow of the day by clicking below:

Before sharing some photos… just wanted to share some of the great vendors…

DJ: Absolute Entertainment

Florist: Betty Davis

Cake: Yia Yia’s Bakery

Caterer: Hillendale

And now on to the wedding…. Country folk…and cowboy boots! LOVE them!

And of course…. a little Nebraska

Cowboy boots and shotguns…..  :) Not a bad combo

All of the ladies with Holly’s brother. I am going to say that he was loving this…

One of the ring bearers… a little shy, but super cute!

And the flower girl…. such a sweet moment!

Before Holly and Kyle headed into the ceremony we had a few minutes to take some photos at the gold course….

This is one of my favorites of the day…

The toasts….. A little country sign that Kyle had made welcoming Holly to Nebraska…. Cute!

I have to say… this group was super fun!!! I have only watched Glee one time and I have to admit… I didn’t like it, don’t hate!!! Maybe I didn’t give it a fair shot, but regardless…. this reception was like watching Glee. Everyone was dancing and singing…. and there were several songs that EVERYONE did dance moves or a line dance to… I didn’t even know half of those songs had “dances!” Holly, Kyle, and their guests definitely had an amazing time!

Thanks Holly and Kyle!!! Congratulations on your marriage and I hope that you had an amazing honeymoon!

Megan + Jon | Wedding

June 10, 2010

You might remember Megan and Jon from their Federal Hill engagement session. You can click here to see photos. :)  They got married over Memorial Day weekend… and it was simply gorgeous. The ladies started at About Faces in Canton. Love this photos Megan’s family watching her get her makeup done.  :)

You can scroll down to see more photos, or click here to view a slideshow of the day.

Megan looked gorgeous!!!! The ladies at the salon did a great job with the entire wedding party.

Before sharing all of the wedding photos, I thought I would share some of the vendors who did a great job!!!

Venue: Grand Lodge

Cupcakes: The Cake Studio

Florist: Belles Fleurs

Caterer: Charles Levine

Invitations: Papers Plus

and I have to give a special shout out to their band….Spectrum. I don’t have their website, but will be sure to find it and let you know. They were awesome!!! I would say if you are looking for music at your wedding….and you are going to hire a band, they are AMAZING! I know this is a bold statement…. but you need them at your wedding. I just can’t say enough about them.

Megan’s dress hanging at the Grand Lodge…

LOVE her shoes! So cute!

Megan dancing around the room to her wedding mix on her ipod to calm her nerves…

And her grandmother’s reaction upon seeing her… So incredibly sweet!

Have I mentioned how much I love First Glance?!?!? Jon’s reaction seeing Megan for the first time is so incredibly sweet.

The handsome groom…

And the STUNNING bride…..

Here are a few details of their day…..

And a few of the fun things Megan and Jon had planned for guests…. They had someone their making cotton candy… and they also had a photo booth!

They had a great time dancing at the reception! Love seeing a bride and groom having so much fun on their special day. :)

Megan and her dad…

And I have to say…. I am kind of jealous that we don’t do the Hora at weddings in my faith. It just looks like so much fun!!! I had so much fun watching and photographing their families during the Hora…. They had almost 300 guests and I think just about every single person was on the dance floor. It was pretty awesome! If  you would like to see more images from the day you can click here to view a slideshow. And, if you check back in the client gallery in a few weeks, all of the photos will be posted for you to view!

Thanks Megan and Jon for an awesome day!

Mandy Sroka came to 2nd shoot with me. You can click on her name to check out her website and photos!

Anna + Steve | Engaged!

June 9, 2010

I was hoping to share these with you before I left…. but didn’t get a chance to post them. :( Josh’s grammy had passed away, and so after my wedding on Saturday, we flew to Illinois to be with his family and go to the family arrangements. We had a really nice time, and it truly was a celebration of her life. Grammy would have been 98 this coming December, and she lived a great healthy life. She passed away in her sleep…. but she was a healthy and happy woman, who we loved so much.  I will have to share some fun photos of her… She really was an amazing woman!

Steve and Anna’s session was definitely fun! They are getting married next July in Sonoma Valley, CA, and I can’t wait for the wedding! They are a great couple… and it will be gorgeous! I had a blast at their session… and loved the locations that we shot at….

We started at Bourbon St. in Baltimore… very cool place. Steve is a DJ, and a big part of Bourbon Street. He runs quite a few business ventures on top of DJ-ing. If you are interested in checking him out, you can click here. Maybe you have already heard of him: Smash Gordon.  Josh and I plan to go and check out one of his shows. :)   Should be fun… and Josh LOVES listening to DJ’s!

So with that said…. here are a few pics taken inside of Bourbon St. I will share a few more of Steve in action in a few days…. We did a little side shoot. :)

LOVE this! Awesome couple…. Super laid back, relaxed… and HOT!

This was up on the rooftop….

Loved shooting here because the lighting was so interesting… It is always fun to play around in different lighting…. Just love the mood of the shots.

After Bourbon St. we headed over to the Woodberry Kitchen.  We did sit down and have a bite to eat. It was my first time there… and it was amazing! Many thanks to Anna and Steve. It is one of their favorite places to go… and I can see why! We took a few quick photos inside, but then headed out around the Clipper Mill Area since there were a lot of people around having dinner.

If you haven’t been to the Woodberry Kitchen yet….. I highly suggest you go! Can’t wait to go back with Josh!

The Woodberry Kitchen is in the background….

Aren’t they cute?!

Thanks Anna and Steve for a great session! Can’t wait to share the rest of your pics with you!!

Emily + John | Engaged!

June 4, 2010

Meet Emily and John! They are getting married this July at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and I can’t wait! We did their engagement session in Canton because they live there and love it! The first time we went to shoot we got rained out… and by rained out, I mean it 100% poured! Which was a bummer…

But this week we were able to head out and finish up their session.

John and Emily met through roommates 3 1/2 years ago… and had their first date at Tsunami in Annapolis… They love to go get sushi together… and when walking around we got a quick few photos at Vaccaro’s because it is another little place that they like to go to together.

This was right before it rained….

And then we sought some shelter hoping the rain would pass… They had a beer… but the rain didn’t stop   :(

Luckily we had a beautiful day on Monday, and I had a great time with them at their session! I totally love watching couples interact… and the way that a guy looks at his lady…. So incredibly sweet!!!! I don’t always share a ton about the couples when I blog, but I had to share a few things about them that I thought were really cute.

John’s favorites things about Emily are that she loves SNL and sometimes laughs so hard that she can’t breath… :)  He loves that she is so sweet and considerate and when he gets home from work she makes him feel like they haven’t seen each other in ages…. (I think that is sooo cute!)….. and she reads books faster then anyone he has ever met…

Thankfully we were able to get some photos at the dock in Canton…. Aren’t they cute?!

Emily and John are a super active couple, and love running…. I actually ran into them in Federal Hill when I was shooting another couples engagement session…. They talk about running a marathon someday… which I think is awesome. I love working out and stay active, but I just don’t know if I have it in me to run a marathon.

Thanks Emily and John!!! Can’t wait until the wedding!
