So before the holidays I met with Amanda from Baltimore Magazine….because they were looking for a photographer to cover their 2011 events, and so I am excited to share that I will be working with them! If you don’t read the magazine, you MUST. I love it.

So it has been a long time coming, but I thought I would finally share some photos of our Ainsley Grace. As you may or may not know, we had our first baby August 20, 2010. I can’t even begin to express how much joy she brings into our lives. 6 days after having our baby, we had a fire at our house… our oven malfunctioned… and we spent the next 3 1/2 months living at the Residence Inn. The bottom line is that it could have been worse. Yes, it was scary…and at times it was really hard, but my family is safe, and that is all that I could ask for. The things that we lost are exactly that…”things”  They are meaningless and replaceable….

So all of that to say… apologies for the blogging hiatus. I am hoping to blog much more regularly again, but with a new baby, a fire, moving in right before Christmas, a website crash, and then enjoying the holidays we are finally resuming some normalcy. We had grandparents here almost every other week, which was great and we feel so blessed by their love and support, but we are really enjoying some time together as our new little family…

And with that being said, I am excited to get back to the world of blogging.

So, here is our little peanut. August 20, 2010. 6 lbs, 4 oz, born at 5:46pm.

She was due September 5th… so she was ready to meet the world a little bit early.

This is my favorite pic of her….

She takes after her daddy…. and is a MARVELOUS sleeper! Really. She has been sleeping though the night practically since birth. I mean it. We had to wake her up to feed her for her first month every 4-6 hours otherwise she would just sleep…. I could count on my hands the number of nights that I didn’t get much sleep… Not going to lie… it has always driven me bonkers that Josh could sleep so  much, but I am now very thankful for his sleeping habits…

We feel so blessed, and think it is God’s funny way of convincing us to have another…. but I am pretty sure we will not have another easy baby like her. She is truly an amazing blessing from God.

Love this just because of the ridiculous size of the bow and the skirt… they make her look like such a teeny peanut…

See?!? The petti skirt is huge… but so, so cute! And the blanket that she is laying on is Ahhh-mazing! My mom crocheted it, and I promise that it is the softest blanket you have ever felt.

Have I mentioned that she likes to sleep?

So, I know there are a lot of Raven’s fans out there…. but we had to get a photo of Baby Girl with some kind of Steeler theme… Don’t mind the Superbowl Patch in the corner.  Baby Girl and Big Snack…  

So these last photos are actually at the hotel… There were a million more photos that I wanted to take of Ainsley, but with our situation it just wasn’t possible… So here are a just a few more…

Just before our baby girl arrived, I had the opportunity to do an awesome engagement session with Angela and Josh. Angela was a bridesmaid in one of my 2009 weddings. Working with bridesmaids from weddings that I have shot is one of my favorite things! So much fun! We went to Annapolis for a little bit, and then headed to the Salisbury where they went to school for the rest of their session. They were awesome, and I had a blast!

So, this May, I will be shooting Josh and Angela’s wedding, and I can’t wait. Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session…And a little reminder of the warm weather that is soon to come!

I realize that I didn’t post any photos that are full length of Angela in her jeans…. Just going to say… She forgot to bring them for the session, so she and Josh did a 5 minute trip to Wal-Mart… and I have to say that they were pretty impressive:

Jean shopping for women is NOT EASY, so…Angela was pretty amazing.

So late last night I checked my inbox…. and had such a fun surprise! In May of 2009 we went to Hawaii, and one of the things we did was take a surfing lesson. (Had the time of my life btw)

There was a woman who was watching and took some photos… said she would email them, and she just sent them last night. It was an awesome surprise… and what was even more awesome…. is that they show me dominating Josh… ha ha…  (I am just a little bit competitive)

Here they are!

Yeah…. I know, you can barely see the wave…. You might even say there wasn’t a wave at all. It was actually pretty big….ok….it might have only been a few inches, but it was a wave, and it was one of the most fun things I have EVER done!

Good news is…. we are heading back to Hawaii this March, and I can’t wait!

If you have been a blog follower (although there has’t been much to follow these days) you might remember Monica and Josh from this past April. You can take a look at their engagement session here. Super sweet, fun couple, and we just happen to have some mutual friends which is always fun!

Monica and Josh got married just before Christmas… it was a gorgeous Christmas wedding. They had the cutest details… one was a doorway (that her father made) with wreaths on it… where they stood for their ceremony, and they also had a Christmas tree with ornaments…. I should say FILLED with ornaments that she had made for the wedding. I will have to show you some of them in another post. It was amazing and 100% gorgeous!

Speaking of gorgeous… Monica looked gorgeous! Stunning. They got married at Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, Va.

They have a beautiful bridal suite for the ladies and a pool room for the guys. LOVE.
