Angela + Josh | Married!

May 24, 2011

Where to start….

I love this group of people… There is a circle of friends that I have had the privilege to work with over the past few years… and I just LOVE them! It is so much fun to see familiar faces at weddings. Thank you for being such amazing clients and for continuing to allow me to document such important occasions in your lives.

I met Angela and Josh at one of my weddings in 2009. Angela was in Megan and Travis’ wedding. You can view a few pics from Meg and Travis here. Josh and his band, Pressing Strings, (AMAZING! Check them out!) after her DJ left… I was super excited when I met with Angela and Josh about shooting their wedding. You might remember them from their engagement session. :)

Gorgeous!  Hair and makeup by Allison Caslin.  :) She is awesome!

Such a cute moment!! I wish I had a pic like this with my mom. :)

This is Megan…. from the wedding that I met Angela at…

The beautiful ladies! The weather forecast called for rain just about the entire day. It drizzled a little bit, but the rain held off and we were able to get some great outside photos.

G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S.The handsome groom…

Love this little moment they had during the ceremony…

Can you say….excited to get married?!?!

We were doing bridal party photos and Josh’s brother saw his wife and little girl walking down the path… Thank you for seeing such a sweet moment and directing my attention to it! Love it!!

And the bridal party….

Loved this farm that we took photos at… I am so glad that the rain held off and we were able to go there for photos. I even love the light fog…

the “almost kiss”…

This was hysterical! Josh and Angela’s mom’s and friends learned this dance and surprised everyone…. So, so funny!

Watching their moms dance..

And just in case you wanted to watch it, here is a link to the YouTube video. And seriously.. so sorry for walking in front of the video 1,000 times….. I am totally in the way… :(

One of Angela’s friends made them hula hoops for the wedding… and folks had a blast using them!

My previous clients… and my current clients…. LOVE!

And…. I had future clients there as well!  Meet Kristi and Jason… you will see them again soon!

Thanks for being such great clients! Had a blast at your wedding!!!

Julia + Adam | Engaged!

May 23, 2011

I love, love working with folks that I have met before at other weddings… whether they are guests, or in the bridal party. :) It is soooo much fun to see familiar faces!

I met Julia at Nicole and Brook’s wedding… Unfortunately that is one of the weddings that was lost on my old blog, but if you have been following you might remember Brooks and Nicole….

And here are the ladies. Julia is the 4th lady going from left to right. :)

So, I had a great time seeing Julia again… and hanging out with her and Adam for the evening. :) They are getting married in Italy next year. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be!

They love going to Orioles games, so we started near the stadium for a few pics… I was hoping the area would be flooded with orange. That wasn’t the case, but it was still fun…

And the bird came over!!! :) So fun! He gave Adam the thumbs up on the ring. I would have to agree!

We let Adam wear his sunglasses for a few. Guys always come with their sunglasses on… And… I am not sure if you have ever seen the skateboarding dog…. but he was downtown and it was amazing! I will have to post a pic!

After walking around near Oriole Park, we spent some time in Federal Hill…

I love walking around the neighborhoods… checking out different streets and looking for new places!

Some of our last shots at Federal Hill Park are my favorite…. The best light of the day…

My favorite of the day!

And last we stopped at the Wine Market… They met on Match.com, and this was where they had their first date. :)  So, I left them there after the session… to enjoy another date together!

Thanks Julia and Adam for an awesome session! Happy wedding planning!

Faith + Rob | Married!

May 22, 2011

Wedding season is here in full swing! Have some great weddings to share with you. I LOVE how they are all so different, and still perfect in their own ways.

The first wedding I have to share is amazingly detailed…and super unique. Faith booked about 2 years ago… She was a bridesmaid in Heather and Eric’s wedding from 2008… It was great to see Heather again! She was a bridesmaid in this wedding and still looks amazing!

I don’t think that there was anything that Faith hadn’t thought of for her wedding day. She had a morning wedding followed by a tea party. And, when I say tea party… I mean tea party. I can’t wait to share her details, but first here are some favorites from the day.

And, it was awesome to work with Amie of Amie Decker Beauty as usual. :)  My brides who are still looking for hair and makeup, call her! She is amazing. Promise!

The ring bearer was such a sweet little guy…  Love this pic of him as he waited to come down the aisle.

Faith and Rob on the alter… such a sweet moment…

He did such a great job!! So, so cute!

The gorgeous bride…in her first dress…

Talk about unique… these guys wore spats, top hats, carried canes… and had fancy neckties…

The newlyweds!

Faith in her tea party dress…

And for the details…

First just a teeny background…. Faith and Rob are huge, huge readers. They brought a few books along for their engagement session, and their love for reading actually played a large role in their wedding planning…

First of all, their tea party reception took place in a library…

FAnd a lot of the little details that followed related to their love of reading… Their wedding party gifts were copies of Pride and Prejudice, and inside each book was the library check out card with their name, and the wedding date, and all of the previous borrowers are other authors… so cute!

Little hearts cut from print were scattered on the table…Their programs were set up as a novel…

And the tea party pieces themselves…. Faith has been collecting the perfect pieces for 2 years… It was perfectly put together.

Thank you Faith and Rob for being such sweet clients! It has been so much fun to be a part of your journey!!!

To view more images from the day, check out their slideshow by clicking here. You can see even more details from their fabulous tea party! I only shared a small hint. :)

Time sure does fly….

May 9, 2011

First of all… Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there! I hope that you had the most amazing day with your family and/or relaxing! Ainsley and Josh were super sweet, and when I came home in the afternoon from my wedding on Saturday they had planned a picnic! So, we headed to the park for our picnic…. we ended up having our picnic in the car, but it was still perfect! While I was shooting Ainsley hadn’t taken a very good nap, and of course she fell asleep in the car. We wanted to let her nap, so we just ate in the car… and looked out at the beautiful park. :)

And yesterday we had the perfect day together as a family… went for a walk, went to Iced Gems for a delicious cupcake and walked around the area… Josh & Ainsley gave me beautiful flowers, a sweet card, a gift certificate for a facial and a massage, the book Love Dare, which Josh and I are really excited to do (and need)   :) …. and to top it all off, Ainsley went to bed at 6:30  last night and got up at 7:30 this morning. So Josh and I had a wonderful date night together. It really was such a perfect day!

The only thing that would have made it better, would have been to see my mom, but she is coming later this week! I can’t wait!

Now on to the reason for this post…. Sophie!

I can’t believe how fast time goes by. It really seems like just yesterday I met Baby Sophie…and last week I photographed her 1 year session. It has been such a pleasure getting to know Stefanie, Steven, and Sophie… They are such a sweet, sweet family… and Sophie has turned into such a cute little peanut!

It is so much fun to watch her grow and change. We started with a maternity session. You can see Stefanie and Steven’s maternity session here, Sophie’s newborn session here, and I am not sure why, but I do not have her 6month session on the blog.  :(

Look at the sweet curls she has now!    They are so cute… and those eyes!!!

She was fascinated with eating the fence…

Daddy’s and Daughters….

There is always a lot of tossing… and swinging… and holding kiddos upside down…and of course giggling.

It’s just a dad thing…  :)

Mom and daughter… such a sweet moment!

Sophie is getting ready to start walking….She is soooo close!

And she loves her little ladybug…

We went to the playground for a few minutes… hoping for swings, but there weren’t any… Still got some great shots!

ADORE this field… so glad we stopped!!! My favorite pics of the day!

Thanks Stefanie, Stephen, and Sophie! It has been an awesome year working with you!!!

Holly + Andy | Engaged!

May 5, 2011

When I met them one of the first things that they told me was how un-photogenic they were…. A lot of folks say that… but they insisted it was the truth, and their wasn’t any convincing them otherwise.

I just have to say that I totally disagree! Andy and Holly you were amazing to photograph and so much fun! I had such a great time with you and LOVED watching you interact. Your relationship is sweet and playful… and Andy, I just ADORE the smile that you get from Holly.

Holly is one of my 2010 bride’s cousins… You might remember Toni + Mike. Well, Holly and Andy were at their wedding last summer and Toni and Mike will be at Holly and Andy’s wedding this June…. and they are expecting! I can’t wait to see Toni’s cute baby bump!

Back to the session… we started out in Upperco, Md… borrowed some of the gorgeous property from sweet neighbors…

See! Look at the laugh/smile that he gets out of her.  :)  So cute!

There was this amazing old mill down the road… I love when my clients just get lost in the moment…

Then we headed over to Loch Raven Resevoir for a few shots…

Love when clients trust me… I suggested that they might head into the water… just for a few, and they happily obliged. Love the light… they are some of my favorite shots of the day.

They brought along a football to toss in the grass, and at the end Andy grabbed her and tackled her. L.O.V.E.

And a G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. ring!

For the last few shots we headed to a gold course just down the road… I don’t know which one is is… or I would share.

Thanks Andy and Holly for an awesome session! I can’t wait until your wedding in just less than a month!
