Stephanie, Stephen, and Baby

April 6, 2010

Just before Easter weekend I had the privilege of photographing a maternity session for Stefanie and Stephen. They have been on a tough journey, and I am amazed at their strength, and I just can’t wait until their little bundle of joy comes!

Stefanie and Stephen are a super sweet couple, and I loved watching them interact…. soft kisses, closed eyes….pure joy. And then there was also belly laughter and pure enjoyment.

Joy and Enjoyment. Those are the words that would embody their session.

It might be a little cheesy…. but this little baseball field is a place that I drive by almost every day, and I love seeing all of the little kiddos play ball there…. And I love the thought that this little baby in Stefanie’s belly is home. And that Stephen and Stefanie will be home for that precious little child.

All of the blossoms out right now are G-E-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! And the light was just perfect! So thankful that the spring is here!!!

The wonder and awe of God’s creation. It is so crazy when you think about how a little life grows….

Thank you so much Stefanie and Stephen for an amazing session. And thanks for sharing such an intimate journey with me. I can’t wait to meet your little blessing!!!

And, if you are a Mommy to Be, send me an email if you are interested in the Mommy and Me (and of course daddy as well) package information to document your pregnancy through baby’s first year! You can reach me at: meaghanelliottphotography@gmail.com

Yup….. Another Baby Belly!

January 5, 2010

Yup, it is another baby belly!!! A few days ago I took maternity photographs for Beth and Ted. Beth and Ted are great friends of  Josh and I…You might recognize Beth as you have seen her on the blog before for an anytime session in 2007… and her Trash the Dress Session which I can’t link to :(  because a lot on my old blog was lost in the website crash….. It is so much fun to see clients over and over again as their lives change….

Well, Beth and Ted are expecting… She is due this January 28th! I had such a great time with them at their session! Ted was so cute because he couldn’t stop looking at and/or touching her belly… It was so much fun to watch them interact!

We went to Patapsco State Park for their session. I have decided that I really love shooting in the winter (minus the freezing cold temperatures!!!). I just love the look… the light…the color…

On with the photos…. Aren’t they cute?!? Giddy with excitement!

Beth looks great…. Not sure what her maternity secrets are…. but she and Kendria are all baby and they look GREAT!

Gorgeous!!

Puppy Love….

Knock knock….

This is one of my favorites of the day…. Love the light, the colors, the emotion….

I did not ask the preggo lady to get on the railroad tracks… She asked and I of course obliged!

Thanks so much Beth and Ted! I can’t wait to meet your little princess!!!!  ;)

Baby Belly….

January 4, 2010

A few days ago I headed down to DC for Kendria’s Maternity Photographs. I was so excited to meet Kendria, her husband Ed, their son Breon,… and baby Mason (He’s the one in her belly…). And I am excited because I will actually get to see them again this June as they will be guests at one of the weddings that I am shooting. :)

On a side note, Kendria has a wedding planning business, so you might want to check out her website and blog if you are looking for a wedding planner for your upcoming wedding!  A Planner makes such a big difference on your big day, and I highly recommend having one… even if you only hire a day planner.

Kendria and her family were absolute troopers… it was REALLY cold…like freezing cold! But they braved it and we walked around with our pink noses… and frozen fingers…

We started with a few photos at the Occidental Restaurant which is actually where Kendria and Ed met… She was  a hostess and he was a server… and then we went to a few places that they used to sneak away to on their breaks (they didn’t tell the people that they worked with they were dating….) for some “quality time” (aka. making out???) Anyways…. below is one of the places that they used to hang out on break. There is usually an ice rink, but it wasn’t there this year… :(

So cute! And Kendria looks awesome!  She is all baby…

Here are a few photographs taken inside of the Occidental Restaurant… We had to go in and thaw out…. so we rotated between being inside and outside…

Love the light in these next couple….

The whole family… trying to stay warm… Enjoying one another’s company and the DC Christmas Tree in the background.Love the sky…

This is another one of their “spots” that is connected to the Willard Hotel…

This is my favorite photo of the day…. LOVE the light…  Kendria looks beautiful and I love the winter feel….Thanks Kendria, Ed, Breon, and Baby Mason! You were such a joy to work with!
