Hurry Up Baby Cooper!!!!

December 21, 2011

Last weekend in Baltimore, I was so excited to take photos of Megan, Mike, and Baby Cooper (in utero….). I met Megan and Mike shortly after moving to Baltimore. I actually led Young Life for a little bit with Mike, and then met Megan through a women’s Bible Study….  They are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet. Mike is incredibly funny and kind hearted and Megan is one of the most sweetest, transparent people that I know.

It was so exciting to hear that they were pregnant, because they will be amazing parents! I was really hoping that we would be able to do their session… but I am not going to lie… I didn’t think it would pan out. Megan is due on New Year’s Day, however, she has been walking around 100% effaced, 3 cm dilated, and Cooper is at 0 station. Before I had a baby, I had NO IDEA what that all meant…. so if you are like I was…it just means that Cooper is super ready to make his appearance!

We did their session at Loch Raven Resevoir. It was pretty stinkin’ cold, but we had a blast, and Megan was a trooper for being incredibly pregnant!!!

Megan is ALL belly!

Had to share this…. so cute! This whole little series we shot was super funny! I laughed out loud when I went through them :)

My friend is Beautiful….

This is one of my favorites of the day!

The sun decided to come out for about 2 minutes…..  Yay!

Thank you Megan and Mike for an awesome session! It was so good to spend the morning with you to laugh… and catch up….and capture such a precious time in your lives!

Can’t wait to meet Cooper!

Time sure does fly….

May 9, 2011

First of all… Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there! I hope that you had the most amazing day with your family and/or relaxing! Ainsley and Josh were super sweet, and when I came home in the afternoon from my wedding on Saturday they had planned a picnic! So, we headed to the park for our picnic…. we ended up having our picnic in the car, but it was still perfect! While I was shooting Ainsley hadn’t taken a very good nap, and of course she fell asleep in the car. We wanted to let her nap, so we just ate in the car… and looked out at the beautiful park. :)

And yesterday we had the perfect day together as a family… went for a walk, went to Iced Gems for a delicious cupcake and walked around the area… Josh & Ainsley gave me beautiful flowers, a sweet card, a gift certificate for a facial and a massage, the book Love Dare, which Josh and I are really excited to do (and need)   :) …. and to top it all off, Ainsley went to bed at 6:30  last night and got up at 7:30 this morning. So Josh and I had a wonderful date night together. It really was such a perfect day!

The only thing that would have made it better, would have been to see my mom, but she is coming later this week! I can’t wait!

Now on to the reason for this post…. Sophie!

I can’t believe how fast time goes by. It really seems like just yesterday I met Baby Sophie…and last week I photographed her 1 year session. It has been such a pleasure getting to know Stefanie, Steven, and Sophie… They are such a sweet, sweet family… and Sophie has turned into such a cute little peanut!

It is so much fun to watch her grow and change. We started with a maternity session. You can see Stefanie and Steven’s maternity session here, Sophie’s newborn session here, and I am not sure why, but I do not have her 6month session on the blog.  :(

Look at the sweet curls she has now!    They are so cute… and those eyes!!!

She was fascinated with eating the fence…

Daddy’s and Daughters….

There is always a lot of tossing… and swinging… and holding kiddos upside down…and of course giggling.

It’s just a dad thing…  :)

Mom and daughter… such a sweet moment!

Sophie is getting ready to start walking….She is soooo close!

And she loves her little ladybug…

We went to the playground for a few minutes… hoping for swings, but there weren’t any… Still got some great shots!

ADORE this field… so glad we stopped!!! My favorite pics of the day!

Thanks Stefanie, Stephen, and Sophie! It has been an awesome year working with you!!!

Kira + Jesus | Maternity

February 19, 2011

Yup, blogging on Saturday. :) Enjoying a peaceful Saturday before wedding season begins. :)  Today I actually went to Kira’s Baby Shower. I feel so blessed that they have hired me to document their new chapter in life.

Kira and Jesus are super excited to welcome baby Annabel. Kira is TINY…. and I think she is ready to meet Annabel in person!

You can’t even imagine how cold Kira had to have been in this photo… It was FREEZING outside, and I suggested that she and Jesus venture out into the open field… and the wind was brutal…  They were absolute troopers! Thanks guys for trusting me.  :)

Doesn’t Kira look beautiful?!

This is a random favorite of mine…. I know it isn’t 100% in focus…but I like that… and love the light…. something about it just makes me happy.  :)

We spent quite a bit of time inside the barn for some shots… which felt amazing b/c it was soooo cold outside!

A little indoor sun flare…

Ahhh-mazing eyes!

You guys are going to have gorgeous babies…. :)  Just sayin’

Thanks Kira and Jesus for an awesome session! Can’t wait to meet Annabel!

Valentine’s Day Sneak Peak…

February 14, 2011

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you have something special planned with a loved one or your best gal pals!

Here is just a little sneak peak of a maternity session that I just shot. It couldn’t have been much colder or windier…. and on top of that we were in an open field…

Thanks Kira and Jesus for a great session, and for braving the cold. And…. thanks to baby Annabel too… even though you were warm and cozy in mommy’s belly ;)  We can’t wait to meet you!

More to come! Check back!

Stephanie, Stephen, and Baby

April 6, 2010

Just before Easter weekend I had the privilege of photographing a maternity session for Stefanie and Stephen. They have been on a tough journey, and I am amazed at their strength, and I just can’t wait until their little bundle of joy comes!

Stefanie and Stephen are a super sweet couple, and I loved watching them interact…. soft kisses, closed eyes….pure joy. And then there was also belly laughter and pure enjoyment.

Joy and Enjoyment. Those are the words that would embody their session.

It might be a little cheesy…. but this little baseball field is a place that I drive by almost every day, and I love seeing all of the little kiddos play ball there…. And I love the thought that this little baby in Stefanie’s belly is home. And that Stephen and Stefanie will be home for that precious little child.

All of the blossoms out right now are G-E-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! And the light was just perfect! So thankful that the spring is here!!!

The wonder and awe of God’s creation. It is so crazy when you think about how a little life grows….

Thank you so much Stefanie and Stephen for an amazing session. And thanks for sharing such an intimate journey with me. I can’t wait to meet your little blessing!!!

And, if you are a Mommy to Be, send me an email if you are interested in the Mommy and Me (and of course daddy as well) package information to document your pregnancy through baby’s first year! You can reach me at: meaghanelliottphotography@gmail.com
